Texas Governor’s Race has a Flippin’ Grandma

The Chronicle ran a great piece on Sunday about the flip-flopping of Independent candidate Carole Keeton Strayhorn, aka Grandma. In her more than two decades in politics, Strayhorn has changed positions on everything from party affiliation (twice) to abortion (twice) to school vouchers (3 times) and toll roads. Claiming her allegiance to Texas education, Strayhorn claims she has always been true to herself and does not change merely for the sake of political opportunity.
