The Horses Finally Get Their Day
Sure, our border security is a joke, but at least we’re saving the horses. The Worse-Than-Do-Nothing House has once again wondered into no-man’s land. Here’s are some quotes from the Washington Horse-Whisperers:
“[Horses] are as close to humans as any animal can get.” – Rep. John Spratt (D-S.C.). (I thought that was the chimp?)
“These horses are eating our cellulose and costing us ethanol.” – Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa)
“I can’t believe that we are here today using the very limited time left to this Congress to deal with horsemeat.” – Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.)
“[Horses] are probably the most beloved animals native to the United States.” – Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.)
“It’s a triumph of emotion over common sense. We have before us a solution, a poor one, to a nonexistent problem.” – John Dingell (D-Mich.)
